Holiday Prep
Planning for those Holiday gatherings is fun but should be stress-free as well. Here are some helpful tips as you prepare this week!
Make that list and check it twice! Having all of the shopping done early will help set you up for success. Shopping for gifts as well as meals planned, get it all done in advance. For gifts, rather you are an online shopper or one who likes to see it all in the store- check those lists and get it done. For meal prep list, don’t forget all of the prep items needed for those side dishes and desserts, too!
Wrap, wrap, and wrap! Don’t wait until the last minute to wrap the gifts, getting that task done now will not only save you time later but those nicely wrapped gifts will look fabulous under the tree. There is just something about having gifts all purchased and wrapped days beforehand that gives you that sense of accomplishment.
With shopping and wrapping done, now is a great time to work on the house and getting ready for guests. Making sure all decor is in place for entertaining your guests. Prep the tables by putting place settings in place for your family so that all is left for the big day is cooking the delicious food. When thinking of cooking the meal, make a list of which to cook first and decide what can be made the day before- like the pies. Checking that list twice will help so that nothing is forgotten….plenty of time to shop for any last minute items. You could even ask guests who are coming to bring food items to help lighten your load the day of.
Tis’ the Season for giving and coming together as family to celebrate this Holiday . If you do all of the prep for the Holidays now then come Christmas Day, you can sit back and enjoy the family time!
